The Amero Currency

I read this over at the Modesto Bee, and wondered to myself how such a system would be implemented. The Amero is a currency that would encompass a union of currencies the US Dollar, the Canadian Dollar, and the Mexican Peso. Supposedly this is all a part of the North American Union that some conspiracy theorists keep talking about as well as some members of congress. The issue never gets any public media unless it is to try and discredit it.

But I say, bring it on. Our economy is so messed up or soon will be, what harm will a new currency do to our devalued Dollar anyway. Maybe it will help us prevent a recession. I say lets follow the EU model and become a North American Union and introduce a new currency just as the Europeans have. Look at how well the EURO is doing against other world currencies. It's time to look past petty differences between the countries we share borders with and become a regional super power.
