Now that Toshiba has conceded the fight between its backed High Definition DVD and Sony's Blu-Ray DVD player, will consumers be flocking to the stores to buy new Blu-Ray Players? Not exactly, and that's because of the high price still associated with Blu-Ray. The last time I checked the store these suckers were around $400. The prices are going to have to come down for a mass adoption of the new players. Many American families are just dying to get their hands on one with all the sales being reported in the Plasma and LCD high definition television sets that have already been sold.
Experts say the prices will have to come down to around $200 for consumers to start buying the product en mass. I would say that is about right for me personally, because i looked into getting one with my new TV, but when I found out how much they were, I told myself I better just wait, after all there is always HD HBO.![]()
